Enjoy an exciting two-day trek to the impressive Ausangate, where you can admire beautiful Andean lakes and the famous 7 Colors Mountain.
Day 1: Cusco - Checacupe - Ausangate Lookout - Pucacocha - Anata
The excursion begins with pick up from your hotel in the Historic Center between 4:00 - 5:00 a.m. We head to the village of Checacupe, where we will have breakfast and visit the ancient bridges on the way. We continue to Quesiuno at 4,326 m.a.s.l. and begin the hike to Hampatuyoc or the viewpoint of Ausangate and Pucacocha, where we will have lunch. After a short rest, we continue to Anata camp at 4,885 meters above sea level. During the hike, we enjoy the Andean geography and, with luck, observe some animals. Upon arrival, we enjoy tea time and spend the night.
Day 2: Winicunca Pass - Colored Mountain - Cusco
We wake up early for a delicious breakfast and then hike into the reddish mountains, arriving at the Winicunca Pass at 5,020 m.a.s.l., from where we can see the beautiful Montaña de Colores (Colored Mountain). After exploring the area, we begin our descent down the other side of the mountain, observing glacier peaks along the way. Upon arrival at the bottom, our transportation will be waiting to take us to the lunch spot and then return to Cusco.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
