Join this exciting tour as we explore the iconic districts of Campiña Iqueña, famous for its traditional wine cellars. Enjoy generous tastings of Pisco, wine, and Cachinas, all included in the experience. We'll visit three of the region's main wineries.
ITINERARY:
Hotel Pickup: Start your day with a convenient pickup from your hotel.
Visit to “Bodega El Catador”: This artisanal winery offers insights into the handcrafted production of Pisco. Sample its award-winning varieties, including the signature semi-prepared Pisco Sour and fine Pisco Cream.
Explore “Lazo” Winery: Here, you’ll taste a range of wines and piscos. The winery features a historic Spanish cava from the 16th and 17th centuries, as well as a rustic museum showcasing unique artifacts like mummified trophy heads, ceramics, goldsmith work, and various weapons from different eras.
Tour of “Tacama” Winery: Begin your visit with a climb to the bell tower for panoramic views of the expansive crop fields. Along the way, learn about the various instruments used in wine and Pisco production. (Note: If visiting on a Monday, we will go to “Caravedo” Winery instead, which offers a similar experience.)
Tasting Room Experience: Observe stills and botijas as you enjoy tastings at the Tacama vineyard, located in one of the oldest haciendas in the valley. This colonial estate, built in the 16th century, is known for producing high-quality wines and piscos. Tacama, established in the Ica oasis, is the oldest vineyard in Peru, spanning 180 hectares in a fertile valley surrounded by desert, just 300 km from Lima and 400 meters above sea level.
