From Cusco: Humantay Lake with Breakfast and Lunch Buffet

Discover the Humantay Lake, located north of Cuzco behind the snow-capped mountain Apu Salkantay. You can enjoy the scenery of the region from the beautiful lake to the snow-capped mountains.
Your professional guide will pick you up at your homestay, hostel or hotel in Cuzco between 4:00 and 4:30 in the morning. After 2 hours of travel, you will arrive in Mollepata, where we will stop for breakfast and pick up water and snacks for the trek.

After breakfast, you will travel 1 hour more to Soraypampa. Once you reach this high mountain plateau, you will be able to admire the beautiful mountains Apu Salkantay (6,230 meters above sea level) and Humantay (5,250 meters above sea level). The trek itself reaches an altitude of 4,200 meters.

After a short time preparing your backpack, you will begin the 2-hour hike to Humantay Lake. The trail up to Humantay Lake is steep, but your group is small and your guide will let you take your time to enjoy the hike.

Enjoy the views of Humantay Lake and enjoy a short optional climb above the lake to the right or left from where you can enjoy a panoramic view.

Next, the easy part of your hike awaits. Descend to Soraypampa for another hour. Then you will take your private transportation back to Mollepata, where a local lunch will be waiting for you.

Once you finish your buffet lunch, you will return to Cusco arriving between 17:00 and 18:00 at the drop-off point near the Plaza de Armas.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
