Description

The four-day Choquequirao trek takes you to the last refuge of the Incas, considered so because of the vestiges that exist in the place, such as ceremonial plazas, warehouses, houses and terraces.
DAY 1: :
CUSCO - CAPULIYOC VIEWPOINT - SANTA ROSA

We will pick you up from the meeting point at 5 am in the morning to pick you up and take you to Curawasi for approximately 3 hours by car where we will make a brief stop to have breakfast and then continue for another hour to the Capuliyoc Viewpoint to begin the walk, a Once ready for the walk, we begin to descend for approximately 3 hours to the lunch place of Chiquisca where the cooks will be waiting for you with a delicious lunch and then we will continue with the descent walk to Playa Rosalinas where we will have a rest and then we will begin the section of climb for 2 hours to the Santa Rosa camp, once there we will set up the entire camp and then have a delicious dinner and spend the night at the camp.

DAY 2: :
SANTA ROSA TREK - CHOQUEQUIRAO - MARANPATA

Around 6 in the morning the cooks will wake you up with a hot coca tea and then you will prepare for breakfast, after a nutritious meal in the camp, you will begin a 2-hour walk uphill to Maranpata, where the cooks, muleteers and horses will stay to prepare lunch for the group and bring lunch to Choquequirao for the group while you visit the archaeological complex. We will arrive in Choquequirao around 9.30 am to explore the area. The guide will explain everything about Choquequirao and you will also have enough time to explore the area on your own. Then in the afternoon, you will return to Maranpata for dinner and spend the night at the camp.

DAY 3: :
MARANPATA - APURIMAC RIVER - CHIQUISCA

Around 8 in the morning we will get up to have breakfast and get ready to return to the city of Cusco. After breakfast we will begin the walk to the Apurímac River canyon, a descent that lasts approximately 3 hours. Once in the river we will spend some time relaxing and have a delicious lunch prepared by our expert chefs, then we will climb for approximately two hours to the third camp. Located in Chiquisca, once in the camp we will prepare ourselves and then have the opportunity to interact with the locals and taste the typical drink made from sugar cane. In the afternoon we will have dinner and spend the night in the camp.

DAY 4: :
CHIQUISCA - CAPULIYOC VIEWPOINT - CUSCO

The last day of our tour will start very early. The last part of the hike is to return to Mirador Capuliyoc, it starts around 5 in the morning after breakfast. We start very early to avoid the intense sun that usually falls in the area, after 4 hours of walking uphill we will arrive at the Mirador Capuliyoc to wait for lunch while you can enjoy the beautiful views of the surrounding mountains and the Apurímac canyon, then we will take a lunch and then we will take the car back to Cusco and we will arrive in Cusco around 4:30 in the afternoon

Cancellations

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
