Description
The Potato Park is a new local model of agrobiodiversity conservation, called Indigenous Biocultural Heritage Territory.
8:30 am pick up from the hotel, we will have a trip of approximately 40 minutes to Pisac and then to the community of Paru Paru, where we will be given a warm welcome with flowers and musicians.
Then we will go to the interpretation of the potato park where we can appreciate the diversity of native potatoes and the explanation of collaborative conservation work and obtaining botanical seed.
10:00 am we will have a snack, tasting of native potatoes - Women's Collective of Culinary Art "Qachum Waqachi".
10:30 am Exhibition on native potatoes and adaptation to Climate Change.
Afterwards we will have a short walk through Kinsa Qocha where we will have a general view of the flora and fauna.
12:00 pm we will have a 30 minutes trip to the community of Chawaytire, here we will have a typical lunch based on native potatoes with local products and wild and cultivated aromatic plants.
13:10 end of the excursion, return to Cusco in our mobility.
