Description

The Inca culture was undoubtedly one of the most important ancient civilizations in Peru. Its customs and traditions were a great contribution to high Andean societies.
We will welcome visitors to the rhythm of the typical music of the community. Our arrival will be in charge of the community chief, the Varayoc, who with great joy awaits our arrival. Once at the place of attention, we will invite visitors to introduce themselves, indicating their name and the country from which they visit us. While we make the introduction we will enjoy a delicious muña mate as a welcome and courtesy drink. We will begin this experience with the exhibition of the agricultural tools used during the sowing, cultivation and harvesting of the products. We will learn about agricultural production which is the basis of culinary knowledge. Then we will be able to participate in the preparation of the Pachamanca. Each product such as meat, tubers, sweet potato, oca, fried plantain, cheese, will be placed in the oven to be cooked. While the Pachamanca is being cooked, we begin with the presentation and demonstration of Andean textiles and all the techniques from shearing, dyeing, warping, designing and weaving beautiful works of art. We uncover the Pachamanca and serve it to enjoy this delicious Ancestral Dish. Farewell to the rhythm of the local music.
