From Cusco || Short Inca Trail to Machu Picchu in 2 days ||

This tour combines the grandeur of Machu Picchu with the adventure of hiking the Inca Trail for several hours. A great experience for those looking for something different.
Itinerary
Day 1
We will pick you up at 5:00 a.m. at your hotel in Cusco and we will travel by bus to the Ollantaytambo Railway Station. Here we will take a train to KM 104, where we will start the short Inca Trail.

We will walk up to Chachabamba and Wiñayhuayna: one of the most important archaeological sites on the route. After a break for a picnic lunch, we will continue on to Inti Punku: the Sun Gate. From this place we will be able to take some fantastic pictures of the citadel of Machu Picchu while contemplating a beautiful sunset.

In the afternoon, we will take a bus from Machu Picchu to Aguas Calientes. Dinner and overnight in this town.

Difficulty level: moderate.

Hiking time: 6 hours.

Total distance: 12 kilometers.

Day 2
After breakfast at the hotel in Aguas Calientes, we will go up by bus to Machu Picchu to enjoy a two-hour guided tour of this famous archaeological site. After learning the secrets of this famous World Heritage Site, you will have free time to explore it at your leisure.

Then we will take the bus back to Aguas Calientes, where you will have lunch. In the afternoon, we will meet again to take the train back to Ollantaytambo.

From Ollantaytambo train station we will take you by bus to your hotel in Cusco, where we will arrive at 21:30 (may vary).

Difficulty level: easy.

Hiking time: 2 hours.

Total distance: 4 kilometers.
