Beginning of the Tour: From 4:00 to 7:00 am approx
Our journey begins with an early morning pick-up from your hotel (between 4:00 am and 7:00 am, depending on your chosen train option). You’ll enjoy a scenic 1.5-hour ride in a car, van, or mini-bus (based on your tour option and group size) to Ollantaytambo, the train station for your trip to "Aguas Calientes" or "Machu Picchu Pueblo."
Upon arrival at the train station, a representative from Kantu Peru Tours will greet you and escort you to the bus station for a 30-minute ride to the entrance of Machu Picchu. Here, our expert guide will be waiting to lead you on a fascinating 2.5-hour guided tour of the Inca citadel. You’ll explore the most significant sites, including the Temple of the Sun and the Inca Bridge, while learning about the rich history and culture of the Incas.
After the guided tour, enjoy some free time to explore Machu Picchu at your own pace and capture stunning photos of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. You’ll also savor a delicious lunch at Samy's Restaurant in Aguas Calientes before we head back to Cusco in the afternoon.
In the evening, we’ll board the train back to Ollantaytambo and then take a private car, van, or mini-bus back to Cusco. Our representative will drop you off at your hotel, where you can unwind after an exciting day.

Please note that during high or low seasons, it may be necessary to board the bus from Aguas Calientes to Machu Picchu and vice versa. Our guide can provide suggestions on how to manage your time effectively. It's important to know that the visit to Machu Picchu follows a predetermined one-way circuit, and re-entry is only possible if your ticket includes Huayna Picchu or Machu Picchu Mountain. If you want to re-enter, you can visit the Intipunku or Inca Bridge before starting your tour with prior coordination with your guide. Additionally, train availability is subject to advanced booking or seasonal changes.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
