Pick up from your hotel at 8:00 am and drive to the train station of Poroy, just outside Cusco, where you will board the luxurious Hiram Bingham train. The journey takes about 3.5 hours to the train of Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu pueblo). You will have personalized service, 3-course meals using local products, an observatory lounge with live music, and a balcony to enjoy the beautiful views of the Andes and Urubamba River.
After 4-hours of travel from Cusco, you will arrive in Aguas Calientes and drive for 30 minutes on the private bus up to the Citadel of Machu Picchu; upon arrival and getting off the bus, you will explore Machu Picchu in a guided tour of one of the new Seven Wonders of the World.
After the tour, enjoy afternoon tea at the Belmond Sanctuary Lodge, the only hotel located adjacent to the ancient Inca citadel.
Later in the afternoon, your guide will take the bus down to Aguas Calientes, explore, and later take the Hiram Bingham Train back to Poroy and a private van back to Cusco.
