DAY 1 CUSCO - OLLANTAYTAMBO TRAIN STATION - AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU - CUSCO Early Morning Start: Embark on your adventure with an early morning pickup between 4:00 and 4:15 AM from Cusco. A cozy vehicle will transport you through the enchanting Andean vistas, traveling for approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes to the Ollantaytambo Train Station. Train to Aguas Calientes: Upon arrival, our driver will help you board the train, which departs at 6:10 AM or 6:40 AM to the charming town of Aguas Calientes. This 1.5-hour train ride offers stunning scenery of the Urubamba River and the rugged terrain surrounding it. Welcome in Aguas Calientes: Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, the doorstep of Machu Picchu, our guide will be waiting for you with a sign. Following an introductory meeting and key briefing, enjoy 20-30 minutes of personal time to grab a coffee, grab a snack, or use the restroom. Ascent to Machu Picchu by Bus: Next, line up for the bus that takes the 30-minute winding climb to the main entrance of Machu Picchu, with an estimated arrival time of 9:00-10:00 AM. Guided Exploration of Machu Picchu: The trip includes an entrance ticket to Machu Picchu, which typically allows access via circuit 02 or 01, subject to availability. In case of unavailability, circuits 04 or 03 serve as substitutes. Advance booking is recommended to secure your preferred route. Upon arrival, our guide will lead an informative 2.5-hour tour of the Inca citadel, highlighting key monuments, sharing stories, and giving you moments to absorb the sights and capture memories. Return to Aguas Calientes: After visiting the Inca citadel of Machu Picchu, you will descend by bus to Aguas Calientes, which will take approximately 25 minutes. Free time in Aguas Calientes: After the excursion, you will return to Aguas Calientes by bus to enjoy lunch and walk around the city before heading to the train station. Return trip to Cusco: The train home leaves Aguas Calientes at approximately 2:30 or 3:20 pm and will take you back to the Ollantaytambo station in 1.5 hours. Here, our transfer will be ready to guide you back to Cusco by car, a trip of approximately 1.45 hours.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
