Cusco: Inca Trail 2 days trekking - Machu Picchu

Meet one of the most famous routes used by the Incas, the Inca Trail, a route that will take us to Machu Picchu. On the way we will be able to see incredible landscapes and archaeological sites.

Day 1: Trek to Machu Picchu
We will start this adventure by picking you up from your hotel very early in the morning, we will head to Ollantaytambo where we will board the train that will take us 65 miles to the starting point of the trek where we will get off.
We will cross a bridge over the Sacred River, pass through Chachabamba and Choquesuysuy, then we will arrive to Wiñaywayna where we will have a brief guide. We will continue our walk until we reach the Puerta del Sol, then we can have views from the top of Machu Picchu, descend and walk to the village of Aguas Calientes where you can enjoy a delicious dinner, overnight in the village.

Day 2: Visit to Machu Picchu "The Lost City of the Incas".
We will get up very early to start the excursion to Machu Picchu, we will board a bus in the village that will take us to the entrance gate to the citadel Machu Picchu, here we will visit the most important areas and temples, after the guide and time for photographs, we will return to the village in the same buses. You will have time to have lunch on your own and explore the town, in the afternoon you will board the train back to Ollantaytambo and return to Cusco.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
