Embark on a full-day tour to the Inca Qeswachaka Bridge from Cusco. Visit the four lagoons, the Pabellones volcano, and the colonial Inca bridge in Checacupe. Learn about the history of the Inca bridge and the local customs.
Start your day with a pickup from your hotel in Cusco. Drive for 2 hours to the south of Cusco to visit the four lagoons. Enjoy a moment of tranquility near the lagoons. Visit the small Pabellones volcano near the town of Yanaoca.
Arrive at the impressive Inca bridge. The Inca hanging bridge is made of vegetable fiber (Ichu) and is located over the Apurímac River in the Quehue district. The existence of this bridge dates back to the Inca period.
The locals from the four surrounding communities perform the annual renovation and maintenance of the bridge. Before starting the renovation of the bridge, an offering is made as a sign of respect and gratitude to the Pachamama.
Have the opportunity to cross the Inca bridge from both sides. Be careful, it looks easy, but it takes courage. On the way back to Cusco, make a final stop at the colonial Inca bridge in Checacupe. See the differences between the two bridges.

The bridge is renewed annually in a communal effort, respecting local traditions and Pachamama (Mother Earth).
