This magical archeological sanctuary is located in Cajamarca, 40 minutes from the city. It is made up of rocks carved by erosion, but what is most impressive is the pre-Inca engineering work, an aqueduct that still functions today.
Pick up and Departure: We will start our excursion by picking you up at your hotel at 9:00 am. From there, we will head to the impressive site of Cumbemayo.
Exploration of the Bosque de Piedra: We will arrive at the Bosque de Piedra, where you will be able to admire the majestic stone monoliths known as frailones. The view is truly spectacular and one of a kind.
Visit to the Cumbemayo Aqueduct: Next, we will explore the ancient Cumbemayo Aqueduct, which still transports water along its 9 kilometers. This ingenious hydraulic system is an impressive example of pre-Inca engineering.
Discovery of the Sanctuary and Caves: We will visit the Sanctuary of Cumbemayo, where we will explore caves with mysterious engravings in the rock, which are still an enigma for researchers.
Return to the city: We will return to the city, with an approximate arrival at 13:00 p.m.
