Itinerary Ascent to Misti Volcano 2 days / 1 night South Route
Day 1: Arequipa - Chiguata - Misti
This exciting adventure begins between 7:30 and 8:00 a.m., with the pick up from your hotel in Arequipa (White City), we will board our private 4x4 vehicle and drive along the tourist route of Chiguata, 1 hour and a half of travel in the vehicle, until we reach the point where our hike will begin, located at 3300 meters above sea level.
We will begin the trekking ascending slowly for approximately 5 to 6 hours, this route has a spectacular landscape, with terraces and traditional houses made of stone. Finally we will arrive at the base camp, where we will have lunch and dinner at the same time, around 4:00pm, while our tour guide tells us about his experiences, and tells us stories of the volcano, we will have to go to bed early to prepare our body for the next day.
Day 2: View of the crater - Misti - Arequipa
We will wake up in the early morning around 2:00am, have a comforting breakfast and start our hike up the summit for 5 or 6 hours until we reach 5825masl, where the crater of the volcano is located, we will observe its large fumaroles up close, while we appreciate the impressive landscape from the top, the surrounding valleys and the city of Arequipa. We will take many pictures and it will be time to start our return trip.
We will descend to the base camp for an hour and a half, pack up and continue descending to the point, where our transportation will be waiting for us to take us to the city of Arequipa arriving around 2:00 pm.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
