Description

It is famous for being one of the best places to observe the majestic flight of the condor, especially from the Cruz del Condor viewpoint.
- Pick up from hotels in Arequipa
Between 02:30 and 03:00 AM, participants will be picked up from their hotels in Arequipa to begin the adventure to the Colca Canyon.
- Trip to Chivay
For approximately 3.5 hours, a comfortable van ride from Arequipa to Chivay, a picturesque town in the heart of the Colca Valley.
- Breakfast in Chivay
A one-hour stop is made in Chivay to enjoy a delicious breakfast, energizing you for the rest of the day.
- Transfer to the Colca Canyon
After breakfast, you will continue your journey for approximately one hour to the Colca Canyon, one of the deepest canyons in the world and home to breathtaking scenery.
- Visit to the Colca Canyon
During the 1.5-hour guided tour, you will explore this impressive canyon, learning about its geological formation, the wildlife it harbors and the local culture that surrounds it.
- Cruz del Condor Viewpoint
A 30-minute stop is made at the famous Mirador de la Cruz del Condor. From here, you will have the unique opportunity to observe the majestic flight of the condor, an emblematic symbol of the region.
- Visits to Traditional Villages
The tour continues with visits to the charming villages of Pinchollo, Maca and Yanque. Here you can explore their colonial churches, appreciate the traditional architecture and learn about the daily life of the local inhabitants.
- Optional: Chacapi Hot Springs.
If you wish, you have the option of visiting the Chacapi Hot Springs. Enjoy natural hot springs while relaxing and admiring the surrounding landscape for approximately 50 minutes.
- Lunch in Chivay
Time is set aside for a typical lunch in Chivay, where you can enjoy local flavors and rest before continuing with the tour.
- Volcano viewpoint
A 30-minute stop is made at the Volcano Viewpoint, the highest point of the tour at 4,910 meters above sea level. From here, you will be able to capture breathtaking panoramic views of the mountainous landscape.
- Tocrapampa and Pampa Cañahuas Wetlands
On the way back to Arequipa, stops are made at the Tocrapampa and Pampa Cañahuas Wetlands. Here you can observe a diversity of wild birds, as well as herds of alpacas and llamas in their natural habitat.
- Return to Arequipa
We are expected to arrive in Arequipa around 5:30 p.m., leaving the participants near the Plaza de Armas, where they can continue exploring the charming colonial city on their own.
