From Arequipa | Tour to Salinas + Hot springs of lojen

In this 1 day tour we will visit the Salinas Lagoon, which in the rainy season forms a spectacular water mirror, the Huito and Lojen salt flats, where we will observe a mini volcano and hot springs.
05:40am - 06:00am - We start the pick up from the hotels in the center of the city.
06:05am - We start our tour to the Salinas Lagoon making different stops.

Our first visit will be to the Mirador de los Volcanes in the district of Chiguata; which we will reach in an average of 45 minutes; from there we will be able to observe our representative volcanoes and take pictures. Later we will be arriving to the town of Chiguata and we will visit the main square of Chiguata where the traditional church of Espiritu Santo is located. You can have breakfast in this town on your own.

Then we will continue our way and in a journey of 01 hour approx. we will make a stop at the Alto Simbral (4200 meters above sea level) where we can observe plants in the area as the Queñua, Yareta, Tola, etc..

Continuing our tour we will arrive at the Salinas Lagoon where we will stay between 01 hour to 01 hour and 30 minutes making different stops for the observation of flamingos, parihuanas, water mirrors (from January to March), sighting of vicuñas, llamas and alpacas (all year round). In dry season (April to December) we will visit the salt extraction centers where imagination is essential to take spectacular pictures.
Then we will head towards the Lojen Minivolcano and Lojen Hot Springs to enjoy a relaxing bath.

Finally we will return to Chiguata for lunch (on our own) and then we will start our way back to the city of Arequipa. We will leave you near the Plaza de Armas.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
