On this half-day excursion, we will explore the Añashuayco quarry and the carving process and visit the Quebrada de Culebrillas.
We start our excursion by picking you up from your hotel (near the historic center) at 8:50 am. We will depart to the impressive Sillar Route, making a stop at a viewpoint from where you can contemplate the majestic volcanoes that surround Arequipa.
We will continue our journey to the Añashuayco Quarry, where you will witness the fascinating process of working and carving this emblematic stone. After exploring the quarry, we will head to the Quebrada de Culebrillas, where the water canyon will surprise us with walls up to 20 meters high. Get ready for a 20-minute hike in this beautiful environment!
Our last stop on this route will be to discover the impressive petroglyphs of the canyon. Then, we will start our return to the city of Arequipa, with an expected arrival at 1:00 pm.
