Itinerary
After picking you up at the hotel at 9:00 a.m., we will begin our guided tour of the White City of Arequipa. During the tour we will discover where this nickname comes from, while admiring its buildings with volcanic stone and ashlar reminiscent of the traditional architecture of the Andalusian villages.
We will go to the Plaza de Armas to admire the Cathedral of Arequipa and the Church and Cloisters of the Society of Jesus. We will also stop at the Tambos de Bronce and La Cabezona, places where trade was developed with barter as a means of payment.
Our last stop will be the Monastery of Santa Catalina de Siena, a small walled citadel built as a convent for cloistered nuns. During the guided tour of the convent, we will discover some of the legends hidden behind its walls, walk through its impressive cloisters and gardens, and admire its rich art gallery.
The tour will end at your hotel or any other point in downtown Arequipa of your choice, at 1:00 pm.
