This tour includes a visit to the south side of the Callejón de Huaylas, we will see the Querococha Lagoon and the archaeological complex of Chavin de Huántar.
At 9:00 am we pick you up at your hotel to begin this fascinating tour. We begin our tour exploring the charming towns of Recuay, Ticapampa and Catac. Then, we head east, entering the majestic Cordillera Blanca. We will make a brief stop at the dazzling lagoon of Querococha, located at 3900 meters above sea level, where we will have about 20 minutes to admire its natural beauty.
We will continue our trip with a panoramic descent to the town of Chavin. Here, we will be able to explore the fascinating archaeological complex of Chavin, which includes the Quadrangular Plaza, the Circular Plaza, the Castle, the Labyrinths and the famous Lanzon. In addition, we will visit the Chavin Museum, located just 1 km from the city, where we will learn about the different stages of the development of the Great First High Andean Culture in Peru.
After the cultural visit, we will enjoy a delicious lunch in Chavin and have time to stroll through its charming streets and capture the essence of this historic city. The tour will conclude around 7:00 pm in the city of Huaraz, where we will drop you off at your hotel or at a previously agreed upon point.
