Description
In this journey, we'll explore the diversity of Huascarán National Park as we trek along the Maria Josefa trail to reach the stunning turquoise Chinancocha Lagoon.
- We'll begin by picking you up from your hotel in Huaraz at around 9:00 a.m.
- Our journey takes us northward through the Callejón de Huaylas, nestled between the Cordillera Blanca and the dark range, until we reach Huascarán National Park.
- En route, we'll pass through Andean villages and admire the breathtaking landscapes. Upon reaching the Llanganuco ravine and Chinancocha Lagoon, we'll embark on a hike along the Maria Josefa trail, renowned for its quenual forests, lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes.
- After a brief guided tour and some free time to explore the area, you'll have lunch on your own.
- Next, we'll visit the Campo Santo de Yungay before returning to our transportation for the journey back to Huaraz.
- Estimated arrival time is around 6:30 p.m.
