Do you want to explore the most precious treasure of the Cordillera Blanca? On this excursion to Laguna 69 from Huaraz you will admire a unique glacial landscape, you will love it!
Itinerary
Between 5:00 and 5:30 in the morning we will pick you up at the agreed meeting point in Huaraz and head by bus to Huascarán National Park, an hour and a half away. Ready? Let's go!
Once there, we will get out of the vehicle and start walking. During the ascent, we will observe the endemic flora and fauna of this area of Peru. Some of the animals that live there are the Puna partridge and the Andean condor. Did you know that the Incas believed that the latter was immortal?
After walking for three hours, we will finally reach our destination: Lagoon 69. As soon as we arrive in front of it, you will fall completely in love, as its waters have an intense turquoise blue color. There we will leave you an hour of free time to explore its surroundings and enjoy a well-deserved lunch on your own.
And will you dare to jump into the water? Many do, but be careful! Its temperature ranges between 12 and 16 degrees. Afterwards, we will return to the park entrance, where the bus will be waiting to take us back.
