Description
We will explore the key centers of the Chavin archaeological monument, including its square plaza, circular plaza and other significant elements.
- We will start the excursion with pick up from the hotel, near the main square of Huaraz, at 8:30 a.m.
- We will travel to the Monument, passing through towns like Recuay, Ticapampa and Catac, and cross the Cordillera Blanca. We will make a brief stop at the Querococha Lagoon.
- We will continue our journey through the Cahuish tunnel and the Callejón de Conchucos until we reach the city of Chavin, where we will explore the archaeological complex. We will visit the main center, including the circular plaza, the castle, the labyrinths and the famous arena, among others.
- We will also visit the Chavin Museum to learn more about the development of the first high Andean culture of Peru.
- We will return to the city of Huaraz, arriving at approximately 19:00 p.m.
