Embark on a full-day tour from Huaraz to the Pastoruri Glacier. Enjoy a scenic drive through the Andean highlands, stop at a gasified water stream, and see the enormous flowers of Puya Raymondi.
After being picked up from your hotel, drive south to the Recuay province. Continue to Ticampampa, Catac, and Pachacoto. Turn east and drive along an unpaved road through the highlands, passing by sheep herders.
Stop at a small lake called Patococha to see wild ducks, Andean geese, caracara birds, and more. Continue to a gasified water stream to see drinkable gasified water flowing underground.
Next, stop at the enormous flowers of Puya Raymondi. Continue to Pumapampa to see a small lake that changes color due to the radiation of the sun and the minerals in the water.
Continue to see petroglyph paintings. After a few kilometers, arrive at the parking lot for the Pastoruri Glacier. From here, hike or ride a horse to reach the glacier.
Walk around the glacier and visit the ice cave and the iced lake. After a few hours, head back to Huaraz, arriving at your hotel around 6 PM.
