Huaraz has an impressive natural wealth, highlighting its majestic mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, glaciers such as Pastoruri and crystal clear lagoons.
Laguna Parón, located in Peru's Cordillera Blanca, is a turquoise-colored body of water surrounded by snow-capped peaks. At an altitude of over 4,000 meters, it is the largest glacial lagoon in Peru, providing spectacular mountain scenery.
Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival to Huaraz and Excursion to Parón Lagoon
We will pick you up at your hotel at 8:00 a.m. and start our trip to the city of Caraz, 70 km from Huaraz.
From here we will begin to ascend gradually along a dirt road until we reach the wonderful Parón Lagoon.
We will explore its surroundings, admire the Andean flora and contemplate the prominent mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, such as the Artesonraju (Monte Supremo), the Pyramid of Garcilazo and Caraz. The captivating turquoise waters make this destination an unforgettable experience.
After enjoying the place, we return by the same route to Caraz and continue to Huaraz. The excursion concludes between 17:30 and 18:00 hours.
Day 2: Excursion to Nevado Pastoruri
Today we will head south of the city of Huaraz.
Our first stop will be in the Carpa sector, from where we will begin our visit to the Patococha lagoon, famous for the presence of wild ducks.
Later, we will explore the sparkling waters that emerge naturally from the subsoil.
Continuing with our tour, we will arrive at PumapaShimi, where we will find the lagoon of the 7 infinite colors and the forest of Puyas Raymondi, the most representative plant of the Andes.
To conclude our day, we will visit the Pastoruri snow-capped mountain, taking pictures and exploring its frozen lake and ice walls. Afterwards, we will return to Huaraz.
Day 3: Laguna 69 Trek - Return to Huaraz
We will start our trip at approximately 5:30 am by private vehicle, heading towards the charming Llanganuco valley.
We begin our journey passing through the park control, zigzagging along the picturesque Llanganuco gorge and enjoying views of the nearby Chinancocha and Orconcocha lagoons.
After a brief stop, we head to Cebollapapapa, the starting point of the exciting hike to Laguna 69.
The hike to the lagoon, located just below the imposing Chacraraju mountain (6112 m.), will take us approximately 3 hours.
We will descend by the same trail for 2 hours to Cebollapampa, where our transportation will be waiting for us to return to Huaraz.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
