This hike runs through the impressive Santa Cruz Valley, ascending to the Punta Union pass at 4750 m, surrounded by the imposing peaks of the Cordillera Blanca and dazzling turquoise blue glacial lakes. During the trekking season, beautiful Andean wildflowers embellish the landscape.
Day 1: We depart from Huaraz to Cashapampa and then ascend to Llamacorral (3800 m).
Day 2: From Llamacorral we continue to Jatuncocha and finally reach Taullipampa (4200 m).
Day 3: From Taullipampa we ascend to Punta Union pass (4750 m) and descend to Cachinapampa.
Day 4: We descend from Cachinapampa to Vaqueria and transport back to Huaraz.
