Excursion to Huascarán National Park + Chinancocha Lagoon

On this excursion to the Huascarán National Park we will discover the impressive landscapes of Peruvian nature. In addition, we will walk along the María Josefa trail to the Chinancocha lagoon.
We will pick you up at the coordination point in Huaraz at 9.30 am and head north along the Callejón de Huaylas, located between the Cordillera Blanca and Cordillera Negra, until we reach the Huascarán National Park.

During the trip, we will pass through some Andean villages and enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the Huascarán Park, a World Natural Heritage Site and World Biosphere Reserve, which will leave you speechless!

We will continue to explore the area until we reach the Llanganuco ravine and the Chinancocha lagoon. At this point, we will leave the minibus and begin a one-and-a-half-hour hiking route along the María Josefa trail, a walk that will show us the famous quenuales forests.

During the hiking route, the guide will show us all the secrets of the high Andean flora and fauna, and you will not stop taking photos of the surroundings! We will take a one-hour break to have lunch on your own.

With our batteries recharged, we will head to the Campo Santo de Yungay, a place with an amazing history that we will discover on site. From there, we will return to the minibus and return to Huaraz. We will finish the excursion at approximately 6:30 p.m.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
