During this journey through Chan Chan and Huanchaco we will explore the rich ancestral Peruvian culture and get to know one of the most outstanding pre-Hispanic cities in America.
We will meet at the appointed time at Jiron Orbegoso in Trujillo and drive to Chan Chan, a pre-Hispanic adobe site belonging to the Chimu kingdom.
For about an hour, we will explore Nik Ann's palace, renowned for its monochromatic reliefs, and visit the Chan Chan Site Museum, where exhibits offer valuable information about Peru's pre-Columbian history.
After our visit to Chan Chan, we will continue to the beach of Huanchaco, famous for its waves ideal for surfing and whose name comes from "guaukocha", which means "lagoon of the golden fish". In Huanchaco, you will enjoy an hour of free time for lunch or a relaxing stroll along the shore, where you can observe the traditional caballitos de totora, boats made of a local plant that will surely impress you.
Finally, we will return to Trujillo from Huanchaco. The activity will conclude approximately three and a half hours after our departure, at which time we will drop you back at your hotel.
