From Trujillo | Tour to the Moche Route

Itinerary:
We will start the tour with pick-up from your hotel in Trujillo at 9:00 a.m., to begin our journey through the Moche region, located in northwestern Peru.

These lands were inhabited by the Mochicas between the 2nd and 5th centuries AD, leaving a remarkable cultural legacy along the Moche river valley. Our first destination will be the Huaca de Moche Museum, where we will explore all aspects of these iconic structures.

We will then visit the Huacas del Sol and de la Luna Archaeological Complex, capital of the Moche civilization. Here we will be able to admire the huacas, stepped pyramids that functioned as tombs. During our tour of the sanctuary, we will discover the hidden meanings in its walls, decorated with ritual and war scenes.

We will then head to the city of Moche, an integral part of the Moche Route, a tourist trail that follows the legacy of this pre-Columbian culture. Here you will have free time to enjoy lunch on your own. After lunch, we will visit the Itinerant Museum and the murals of the city. We will conclude our excursion by returning to Trujillo, where you are scheduled to arrive at your hotel at 16:30.

If you do not show up on the day of the service, it will be considered as ‘Done’ and the tour cannot be claimed or rescheduled, nor will any refund be made.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
