Day 1:
Start your journey when you arrive in Puerto Maldonado and board a boat to the Ecolucerna Lodge. Enjoy a delicious lunch made with organic ingredients and local flavors. After lunch, take a walk through the natural trails, where you will discover and learn about the primary and secondary jungle, its components, uses, transformations caused by man, and its relevance to the world.
End your walk at night, where you will have the opportunity to observe the behavior of the nocturnal flora and fauna of the Amazon. Return to the lodge and enjoy a refreshing traditional dinner.
Day 2:
After breakfast, prepare for a walk through the Tambopata National Reserve, which will take you to Lake Sandoval. Here, understand why Madre de Dios is known as the capital of Peru's biodiversity. Learn about the conservation work of the Reserve and the formation of the lake, traveling by canoe on this body of water, home to the giant otter, the blue and yellow macaw, and one of the largest freshwater fish in the world, the Paiche.
In the evening, take an interesting night excursion, sailing along the Madre de Dios River to learn about its ecosystem, the Amazonian cliffs, and the behavior of the nocturnal fauna on the riverbanks. End your day with a traditional dinner in the dining room.
Day 3:
After breakfast, prepare to experience the Ese'eja family, a family that has adapted to survive and now actively collaborates in programs in exchange for a donation and the sale of their crafts. Dance with the family and learn about their way of life.
In the afternoon, travel to another lodge near the city and Guacamayo, which you will visit early tomorrow. If you still have energy, join a night walk with your guide.
Day 4:
This morning, be free to enjoy the sunrise and capture the impressive views of the Madre de Dios River. Enjoy a last nutritious breakfast with organic ingredients from the pantry before departing. Say goodbye to your guide and the staff and thank them for your visit to this part of the Amazon. Travel by motorized canoe back to Puerto Maldonado.
