Embark on your unforgettable journey at 7:30 AM, where we'll pick you up directly from your hotel. In our comfortable private car, we'll first head to the Taray lookout point, treating you to a breathtaking panorama of the Sacred Valley of the Incas. Get ready to capture stunning photos that will leave your friends and family in awe.
Next, we'll arrive at the awe-inspiring archaeological site of Pisac, situated at a remarkable altitude of 3,400 meters (11,150 feet). This incredible site, built during the reign of Emperor Pachacutec in the 15th century, boasts remarkable agricultural terraces, aqueducts, military structures, residential quarters, and religious precincts. Following this unforgettable experience, we'll head to Pisac market, renowned for being one of Peru's most famous artisan markets.
At the market's heart, you'll find a bustling square filled with an array of Peruvian artistry – from exquisite alpaca sweaters to captivating musical instruments, vibrant paintings, delicate ceramics, and exquisite jewelry. Allow yourself to be swept away by the vibrant colors and the exquisite craftsmanship of these one-of-a-kind pieces.
After a delectable lunch in Ollantaytambo, another gem awaits your exploration. Ollantaytambo, the next town in the sacred valley, sits at an elevation of 2,750 meters (12,300 feet). Its narrow streets, aqueducts, and Inca apartments called "canchas" offer a mesmerizing glimpse into the past. Conquer the steps leading to the temple of ten niches, the unfinished temple of the sun, and the princess baths – adorned with mesmerizing step designs representing the sacred Andean symbol, "chacana."
Our journey culminates in the charming town of Chinchero, perched majestically at 3,850 meters (12,630 feet) with breathtaking vistas of the Urubamba range. Around 1480, the tenth Inca, Tupac Yupanqui, crafted the awe-inspiring archaeological complex of Chinchero, featuring a massive stone wall in the main plaza. Don't miss the chance to marvel at the extensive farming terraces and the colonial church of Our Lady of Monserrat, gracefully built atop an Inca palace.
