Rainbow Mountain: Private Tour - Full day Rainbow Mountain: 1 full day Private Hike

This is the NEW, SHORTER & EASIER program that will allow you to visit the Rainbow Mountain, also known as Vinicunca, this amazing colorful area can be seen over the Ausangate area in 1 full day
We will pick you up at 4 - 4:30 AM from your hotel in Cusco. Our transportation will take you from the south of Cusco to the town of Cusipata, this car ride takes about 2 hours. In Cusipata you will use the bathrooms and you can have more breakfast. Later at about 8 am we will continue our trip to the “Rainbow Mountain” by car for about 1 hour and 15 minutes until reaching the end of the road. On the way we will enjoy views of amazing landscapes, herds of alpacas and llamas, the Ausangate Mountain, lots of reddish mountains and traditional local houses. You will start at about: 4600 mts / 15180 feet, the hike to the highest viewpoint of the Rainbow Mountain (5036 mts / 16619 feet) takes about 1 1/2 hours gradually going uphill (Distance: 4 kmts / 2.5 miles). We will have time to explore the area and take pictures; spending at the viewpoints approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour (depending on the time and weather conditions)

Later we will hike back downhill to the beginning; this will take about 1 hour approx. Then we will take our transportation back to Cusipata to have lunch. After lunch we will drive back to Cusco and drop you at your hotel at about 4 - 5 pm.

Notes:

- If you take the private tour you can leave at any time until 8 am.

- The times may vary according to the conditions of the road, trail and guide's recommendations.
