Choquequirao Trek is an incredible adventure that takes you deep into the heart of the Peruvian Andes, culminating at the impressive Inca site of Choquequirao.
DAY 1: CUSCO - CACHORA - CHIKISKA
We will start the excursion from the meeting point “Plaza Regocijo” at 6:30 am 3 hour trip, guided tour in Saywite (stone carved by the Incas). We will continue to Cachora, Capuliyoc where we will have our first lunch with a beautiful view of the Apurimac Canyon and the snowy Padreyoc. Afterwards we will start our hike, we will descend for 3 hours approximately, passing by the viewpoints of Cocamasana until we arrive to Chikiska.
Dinner and overnight in a rural lodge.

DAY 2: CHIKISKA - MARAMPATA
We will start the day with a delicious breakfast, then we will descend for 1 hour to the Apurimac River. We will arrive to Rosalina Beach, cross the river and walk for more than 1 hour to Santa Rosa. After a short rest we will continue our route to the town of Marampata, here you will have lunch and have the afternoon free to rest after an arduous hike.
In the evening dinner and overnight.

DAY 3: MARAMPATA - CHOQUEQUIRAO
We will have an early breakfast and depart to Choquequirao, upon arrival you will enjoy a guided tour. You will visit the different places of the archaeological center, you will pass by the high part of the archaeological center and the terraces, where you will be able to observe representations of llamas. Lunch will be a box lunch that will take us to Choquequirao itself.
In the afternoon we will return to Marampata and spend the night there.

DAY 4: MARAMPATA - CAPULIYOC
We will get up very early, we will descend for 2 hours to Santa Rosa, upon arrival we will have a typical breakfast. Then we will continue another 2 hours to the Apurimac River where we can rest for a while. After the rest we will go up to Chikiska, where a delicious lunch awaits us. In the afternoon we will walk to Capuliyoc for 3 hours approximately, we will arrive to the camp and have a small bonfire.
Our last night will be in the Cabañitas del Apurimac, the snowy Padreyoc, where you will have incredible views and a magical night.

DAY 5: CAPULIYOC - CUSCO
This last day is for relaxation, we will wake up later and have a delicious breakfast. You can enjoy the comforts of the exclusive camp with swimming pool, swings and incredible views of the canyon and the central mountain range. You can visit the thermal medicinal waters of Cconoc, we can go if the group agrees (optional and an extra charge is paid to the driver). Lunch is not included so you will have the free choice of an a la carte menu (extra cost of 15, 20 soles).
Return to the city of origin which can be Abancay or Cusco.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
