Hiking through the jungle and Sandoval Lake Day 1 We will start this excursion from our pick-up location at 9:00 am, we will travel to the port from where we will board a boat to go down the Madre de Dios River until we reach our lodge. We will get ready to go to the entrance of the Tambopata Reserve, we will begin a 1-hour walk to reach Sandoval Lake. Next we will take a paddle canoe to walk around the beautiful lake, with luck we will be able to see some river otters, birds and other animals. Afterwards we will enjoy a delicious lunch. Then, those who wish can swim in Sandoval Lake following the instructions of our guide. Return to the city of Puerto Maldonado.
