The 8-day Cordillera Huayhuash Trek is the complete route but in fewer days than normal, since we will not reach the Viconga thermal baths. There are 8 high passes to cross, the highest being the Trapezium Pass at 5020 meters. The number of nights spent sleeping above 4000 meters and the number of high passes that must be crossed each day qualify this adventure hike as difficult. We recommend that you have a good level of physical fitness and be well acclimatized before committing to this incredible adventure of the full tour to Huayhuash.

Day 1: Huaraz - Cuartelhuain (4,180 m.) - Cacanan Punta Pass (4,700 m.) - Mitucocha (4,230 m.)
Transportation transfer to Cuartelhuain approximately 4 hours. starting point of the walk.

Day 2: Mitucocha (4,230 m.) - Carhuac Pass “Yanapunta” (4,650 m.) - Carhuacocha Lagoon (4,140 m.)

» Campsite: Carhuacocha (4140 m)

Day 3: Carhuacocha Lagoon (4,140 m.) - Siula Pass (4,800 m.) - Huayhuash (4,350 m.)
This day we will ascend towards the Siula pass at an altitude of 4,800m. From here we appreciate the mountains of Siula, Yerupaja Grande and Yerupaja Chico and the 3 famous lagoons of Huayhuash.

Day 4: Huayhuash – Trapeze Pass (5,000 m.) – Elephant camp (4,560 m.)
» Walking Time: 5 to 6 hours approx.
» Campsite: Cuyocpampa (4560 m)

Day 5: Cuyocpampa (4,560 m.) - Santa Rosa Pass (5,070 m.) Huayllapa (3,600 m.)
This day we will ascend towards the Santa Rosa Pass 5070 m a.s.l. to have an impressive view of the highest mountains of Huayhuash, Laguna Jurao and Sarapococha.

Day 6: Huayllapa (3,600 m.) - Tapush pass (4,770 m.) - Gashpapampa (4,570 m.)
This day we will walk upwards and thus leave the town of Huayllapa behind.

Day 7: Gashpapampa (4,570 m.) - Punta Yauche pass (4,850 m.) - Jahuacocha Lagoon (4,100 m.)

Day 8: Jahuacocha Lagoon - Jahuapunta pass (4,650 m.) - Pocpa (3500 m.) - Huaraz
After saying goodbye to our muleteers we will board our transportation towards Huaraz.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
For this tour, the person must be in good physical condition and must acclimatize 3 days before in the city of Huaraz. On this trip we will walk approximately 5 to 10 hours every day, there will be bathrooms in all the camps, a person with his donkeys and horses to transport our luggage and all the camping equipment, every day we will have 5 hot meals a day.

This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
