Get ready for an intimate and exciting northern lights hunt in the area around Tromsø. This small group tour is taking you to some of our favorite spots, with local guides from the area.
On this excursion, you get an intimate northern lights adventure in the area around Tromsø, and in a small group. Smaller groups and smaller transports make it possible to move around and find spots that bigger buses can´t use, and we get plenty of time to talk, take photos and get to know each other.
The guides working with us are professional, educated, and local. They know the climate, the area, and the secret spots. In between us, we have many years of traveling the northern parts of Norway, and you can be sure to get the very best experience.
Our travel duration on wheels is 30 minutes to 2,5 hours outside the city, depending on weather and northern light conditions. Don´t worry, we will check the forecast and safety. At The Arctic Moments, we do our best to drive as little as possible to get more time outdoors, and to limit our impact on the climate. We will however go the necessary distance - within limits of course.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
This dark season/winter activity can get a bit "nippy" on some days. That said the climate in the Tromso area usually doesn´t get too cold - Tromsø averages about -5 degrees Celsius during winter. We could however end up in an area with colder temperatures for a while where the temperature goes down to -25 degrees Celsius. Bring proper winter clothing including mittens, a hat, and warm outer clothing. Please get in touch if you have any questions regarding clothing.
The tour is suitable for most people. keep in mind that we are going to be entering and exiting the car several times during the adventure, and it can get slippery. We do bring spikes.
Children are more than welcome to join. We have set a minimum age of 8 based on experience. If you want to bring younger children please get in touch. The private tour might be a more flexible option.

When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
Cancellation is not possible. If you cancel it anyway or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity and the money you paid will not be refunded.
