Experience the thrill of a snowmobile ride through the Lyngen Alps on this guided tour. You’ll see the beauty of an arctic fjord, take in an amazing mountain view, learn local history from your guide – and then warm up with delicious soup at a fishing village.
Departing from Tromsø, you’ll take a bus through arctic scenery and then transfer to a ferry to cross Ullsfjorden. After being escorted to the fishing village, you’ll get ready for the tour with driving and safety instructions, and be outfitted with warm clothing and safety equipment.
Taking turns driving the snowmobile with a partner, you’ll follow the tour guide through epic nature with mountains surrounding you. Throughout the ca. 1.5 hour trip there will be various stops at viewing points for photos and to learn the history of the area.
Once the trip is over, you’ll return to the fishing village for a warm homemade soup with fresh bread in a restaurant with a panoramic view. A warm drink and sweet cake will be the perfect end to a memorable day.

Minimum 2-person booking
Departure takes place from Bus Terminal of Prostneset at 08:45 AM. Meet up at least 10 min before departure to check yourself onto the bus, the Arctic route Lyngen 917 (red bus). The driver will have your booking name.
At Breivikeidet, you will exit the bus and walk yourself into the ferry. An escort with sign XLyngen will meet you at Svensby to guide you to the startingpoint of the tour.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
