Description
Unleash your inner adventurer and experience the unparalleled beauty of Norwegian forest on a hiking tour to Skjennungstoppen.
We will begin our journey in front of the Oslo Visitor Centre at Jernbanetorget. We will take a scenic train ride to Frognerseteren station, enjoying the stunning views as the train winds its way through the hills, leading us to the start of our hike.
From here we will make our way through the lush green forest to the majestic Skjennungstoppen mountain. The trail offers a perfect balance of challenging terrain and peaceful pathways, as you make your way through the stunning Norwegian wilderness. Once we reach the summit of Skjennungstoppen, we will be rewarded with breathtaking panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
In this part of the forest you can find fox, beaver, moose, deer, eagle, hare and many other animals! They are all harmless. But still, it is a great chance to explore the beauty of the Nordic nature.
We will have two breaks at a «hytte» (traditional cabins): the cottage of Skjennungen and Ullevålseter. They serve great coffee and fresh pastry, such as freshly made waffles, served with jam and sour cream or Norwegian brown cheese. We will also visit the geographic center of Oslo, which is located right in the middle of the forest.
We end our hike at Sognsvann, take the metro line back to the city and finish our trip at Jernbanetorget.
Join us on this amazing adventure and experience the best of Oslo's natural beauty! Whether you're a seasoned hiker or a nature enthusiast, the beauty of Norwegian forest is sure to take your breath away.
