Description

It's hard to beat a good walk by a peaceful lake in the woods. Add warming up by a cozy fire afterwards and you've got the perfect match! Enjoy nature as locals do!
This tour is the best way to experience how locals enjoy nature - and our expert guides know how to do it right!
The tour starts in the city center near the tiger statue at Jernbanetorget. We then will take a train to Sognsvann - an idyllic lake surrounded by green forest. Norway is known for its excellent public transportation which can easily and comfortably take you to hidden natural gems and the best spots to enjoy nature. Just 20 minutes from Oslo and you are practically in the center of wilderness where the magical forest is saved as it was centuries ago.
The walk in the forest is followed by a barbecue on the lake shore. You can listen to your local guide tell you stories about the area and learn a lot about Norwegian outdoor food traditions. You will also have a chance to taste some of the most "Norwegian" food every local enjoys from time to time!
After the cozy barbecue we will take a short train ride back to the city center.
