Discover the German capital by bike on this fantastic 3.5-hour tour. Ride along the former border between East and West Berlin, and see the remains of the Berlin Wall, former border crossings, one of the last watch towers, and other traces left by the division of the city.
The tour starts at the Kulturbrauerei, a remarkable old brewery site in the district of Prenzlauer Berg. Along the way, you’ll discover interesting facts about why the city became divided and how this affected its residents. Hear about successful and fatal escape attempts, how the Berlin Wall came down overnight after almost 30 years, and how the city has changed since.
The route runs from Mauerpark, over Bernauerstraße, all the way to the Brandenburg Gate. Checkpoint Charlie, the former boarder crossing, and Bornholmerstraße also be covered during the tour.

This tour is for small groups of up to 15 participants. You will cover approximately 15 kilometers in 3.5 hours at a relaxed pace.
You can select a bike that fits you best from the large fleet of bicycles.

You are required to bring and wear a mask
You must present either proof of full vaccination, proof of a Covid-19 infection in the past 6 months, or a negative test taken no more than 24 hours before the activity starts

The nearest metro station, Eberswalder Straße, is just 3 stops from Alexanderplatz.
Directions from Alexanderplatz:
- Take the U2 (red line) towards Pankow. Get off after 3 stops at Eberswalder Straße metro station.
- Leave the station at the exit in the opposite direction of travel (signposted "Kulturbrauerei) .
- Head towards the street on the left side of the overhead railway line (Danziger Straße), and walk for 150 meters on the right-hand side of this street.
- Turn right onto Knaackstraße and after 50 meters turn right through the large doorway to the Kulturbrauerei complex.
- From there follow the yellow signs to the bicycle depot.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 48 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
