A visit to Amsterdam and the Netherlands would not be complete without having seen the picturesque Dutch countryside. First stop is the quaint village of Zaanse Schans, where you will walk around and be able to admire the well-preserved historic windmills and houses.
Next, head to the fishing village of Volendam. Visit a cheese shop that still makes cheese using the traditional Dutch method. Enjoy lunch at a traditional fish restaurant, before visiting the Volendam Museum and the Old Dutch Bakery.
In Volendam, try to spot the recognizable Dutch traditional costumes often featured on tourist postcards and posters. Afterwards travel back in time to the quaint island community of Marken.

• Meet at the local partner's office in the Ij hall in the rear of Amsterdam Central Station, on the right-hand side as you face the water
• The local partner's office is called Tours & Tickets: look for the red writing
• The office is in the back concourse of the station, on the side closest to the water
• Please be at the meeting point 15 minutes before the tour departure time
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 48 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 48 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
