The Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek offers a captivating journey through the serene landscapes of the Annapurna region in Nepal. This lesser-known trek takes adventurers on a path less traveled, unveiling breathtaking views of snow-capped peaks, lush forests, and traditional Nepalese villages along the way. Trekkers through rhododendron forests, terraced hillsides, and high alpine meadows. As hikers ascend to the base camp, located at an altitude of around 4,500 meters, they are rewarded with panoramic vistas of the Annapurna Range, including the towering peaks of Fishtail and Mardi Himal itself. With its relatively short duration and manageable altitude, the Mardi Himal Base Camp Trek is ideal for those seeking a memorable Himalayan adventure off the beaten path.
Itinerary
Day 01: Drive to Kande - 1 Hrs. (1,770 m) and Trek to Deuarali via Potana village 2100 m (6889.764ft) – 05 hrs.
From Pokhara, our journey starts with an exciting short drive towards the mid-hills of Annapurna to reach Kande village. It lies on the roadside of the Pokhara / Beni highway. A beautiful walk is going to start from here an hour or more climb through the cool shade of the forest brings you a wonderful spot at Thulo-Kharka. However, it's popularly called Australian Camp where you can rest with exceptional views of the whole Annapurna sparkling peaks with the Manaslu Himalayas too.
Day 02: Trek to Low Camp (2,990m) 9514ft – 06 hrs.
After breakfast on the 2nd day towards Low camp. After Deurali head north along the ridgeline into the serene, forested area with cool temperature with the panorama of Annapurna I and South with Huinchuli to the east Annapurna IV-II and Lamjung Himal and then reaching our overnight stop in the middle of the forest where few lodges are located for trekkers.
Day 03: Low Camp to High Camp (3550 m) 11646.98ft – 05 hrs.
From this rhododendron forest area, the walk leads higher on the uphill path with the steep climb to reach a pastureland for the overnight stop on route Mardi base camp with fantastic views of surrounding landscapes and mountains at close range. You will have to walk to a beautiful forest with unforgettable mountains.
Day 04: Hike to High Camp and Explore the Mardi Base Camp (4500m) 14763.78ft and Back to Siding Village (1750m)– 07 Hrs.
This wonderful area offering the grand vista of beautiful landscapes and snow-clad peaks in perfect tranquility heading higher to reach at High Camp as the air gets thinner and cooler with the steep climb to reach High Camp where tree lines fade to short rhododendron and juniper bushes.
Day 05: Trek from Siding village (1750m) 5,740ft to Mardi Pul then drive to Pokhara - 4 Hrs.
Our last day walk of this fabulous adventure on the hidden trails of the Annapurna region walk follows the Mardi River on the wide valley reaching warmer areas of rice/paddy farm villages finally walk ends at Mardi village for a short drive back to Pokhara.

Weather and Seasons: The Mardi Himal Trek can be done throughout the year, but the best time to trek is during the spring (March to May) and autumn (September to November) seasons. These months offer stable weather conditions and clear mountain views. However, weather in the mountains can be unpredictable, and trekkers should be prepared for changes in weather and temperature.
When should I book?
To guarantee availability book as soon as possible. Early booking is worth consideration especially if you planning the trip during high season like public holidays or weekends.
Cancellations
This excursion you can cancel with no cost up to 24 hours before the start of the trip. If you cancel it after 24 hours or not show up on the excursion you will still be charged the full price of the activity. Being late on pick-up or departure will be considered as not showing up.
