Mardi Base camp trek areas also are known as ‘Other Sanctuary’ when early pioneers and explorers discovered this awesome spot way back in the early 1960s reminded of the main Annapurna Sanctuary christened with the same name.
Mardi Himal situated right beneath the towering South Face of Machhapuchare Himal rises high at 6,997 m high one of the broken rocky and ice ridges of Fish Tail peaks, was first noticed by early mountaineers and explorers as a different and separated peak of Machhapuchare Himal. Mardi Himal Trek certainly delights you on daily walks once a remote hidden corner of Annapurna areas, at present slowly getting popular where few good lodges are found all the way near to its base camp facing a super panorama of mountains.
Outline Itinerary of 5 Days Mardi Himal Trek
Day 01: Drive Pokhara – Kande and trek to Australian Camp - Pothana- Deurali (2100m, 1 hour drive and 4-5 hours walk).
Day 02: Trek from Pitan Deurali -Forest Camp - Low Camp (2985m, 6-7 hours walk).
Day 03: Trek from Low Camp - High Camp (3550m, 4-5 hours walk).
Day 04: Hike to View Point, Mardi Himal Base Camp and trek down to Badal Danda (3210m, 6-7 hours walk).
Day 05: Trek from Badal Danda to Siding, drive to Pokhara.
