Description

Offers a trekking route that provides stunning views of the Annapurna, Machapuchare, and Hiunchuli peaks.
Mardi Himal is a relatively lesser-known but increasingly popular trekking destination located in the Annapurna region of the Himalayas in Nepal. It is named after the Mardi Himal, which is a striking peak situated just east of the renowned Machapuchare (Fishtail) peak. The trek offers stunning views of the Annapurna range, including Machapuchare, Annapurna South, Hiunchuli, and Mardi Himal itself.

The Mardi Himal trek usually begins and ends in the scenic lakeside city of Pokhara. The trail takes trekkers through picturesque villages, lush rhododendron and oak forests, and alpine meadows, providing a diverse range of landscapes. The trek is considered a relatively short and moderate trek, making it suitable for trekkers with varying levels of experience.

While the Mardi Himal trek doesn't reach the high altitudes of some other treks in the region, it still offers a genuine Himalayan adventure with breathtaking scenery and a chance to experience the local culture and the highest point reached is Mardi Himal Base Camp, which sits at an elevation of around 4,500 meters (14,764 feet). This trek is an excellent option for those seeking a quieter and less crowded alternative to some of the more popular trekking routes in the Annapurna region.
