Day 1: Flight to Lukla and Trek to Phakding
Begin with a thrilling 30-minute flight from Kathmandu to Lukla (2,860 meters), offering stunning aerial views of the Himalayas. From Lukla, trek to Phakding (2,610 meters), passing through picturesque villages, lush valleys, and crossing the Dudh Koshi River via suspension bridges adorned with prayer flags.
Day 2: Phakding to Namche Bazaar
The trek follows the Dudh Koshi River, crossing several suspension bridges, and moving through pine forests and small Sherpa villages. After entering Sagarmatha National Park, a steep ascent leads to Namche Bazaar (3,440 meters).
Day 3: Acclimatization Day in Namche Bazaar
Spend the day acclimatizing with a short hike to the Everest View Hotel for spectacular views of Everest, Lhotse, and Ama Dablam.
Day 4: Namche Bazaar to Tengboche
Trek from Namche to Tengboche (3,860 meters), a route known for its stunning vistas. After an initial climb and contour around the hillside with panoramic mountain views, descend to the Dudh Koshi River before making a final ascent to Tengboche, home to the region's largest monastery.
Day 5: Tengboche to Dingboche
Leaving Tengboche, descend through rhododendron forests to Deboche and cross the Imja Khola. Climb gradually to Pangboche, home to the oldest monastery in the region.
Day 6: Acclimatization Day in Dingboche
Take another acclimatization day in Dingboche, with a popular hike to Nangkartshang Peak, offering panoramic views of Makalu, Lhotse, and surrounding mountains.
Day 7: Dingboche to Lobuche
It is (4,910 meters), a gradual ascent through alpine meadows. Pass the memorials at Thukla Pass, which pay tribute to climbers who lost their lives on Everest. The landscape becomes increasingly stark as you approach Lobuche.
Day 8: Lobuche to Gorak Shep and Everest Base Camp
One of the most challenging days involves trekking from Lobuche to Gorak Shep (5,164 meters) over the rocky moraine of the Khumbu Glacier. After a short break, continue to Everest Base Camp (5,364 meters).
Day 9: Gorak Shep to Kala Patthar and Pheriche
Early morning hike to Kala Patthar (5,545 meters) for the best views of Mount Everest. The climb is steep but rewards with a panoramic vista of Everest and surrounding peaks. Descend back to Gorak Shep and continue to Pheriche (4,371 meters), reflecting on the journey amidst changing landscapes.
Day 10: Pheriche to Namche Bazaar
Retrace your steps back to Namche Bazaar, descending through valleys and crossing rivers.
Day 11: Namche Bazaar to Lukla
Trek from Namche Bazaar back to Lukla. The descent is long but filled with memorable moments as you bid farewell to the majestic mountains.
Day 12: Flight to Kathmandu
Fly back to Kathmandu in the early morning and drive to your hotel.
