Duration: 15 days

Description

The Langtang Valley offers a variety of attractions including vast forests, wildlife, alpine meadows, wildflowers, glaciers, and 7000m peaks, all easily accessible from Kathmandu.
The Langtang Valley boasts a variety of natural wonders, such as expansive forests, diverse wildlife, alpine meadows, colorful wildflowers, glaciers, and numerous 7000m peaks, all just a short drive away from Kathmandu. Although it is possible to complete this trek in a shorter timeframe, it is advisable to ascend gradually to ensure safety and to fully immerse yourself in the journey.

On the starting of the adventure, you will embark on a jeep or coach ride along the Trishuli River towards the Tibetan border and the village of Syabrubesi. The road is continually improving, and there are two options for the first day's trek to Lama Hotel: a lower trail that follows the river or a high trail that climbs steeply and contours above the forest.

Following this, you will push on to Langtang village at 3430m, but it's a safe option to break the ascent with a night at Ghoratabela (3030m). The valley opens out, and the peaks come into view. After crossing a massive rock-slide caused by an earthquake in 2915, you will arrive at Langtang village with its stupa, modern lodges, and shop. By lunchtime, you will reach Kyanjin Gompa at 3830m, where you can rest for a day to acclimatize to the rarefied air.

The high points of the trek are reached over the next two days, including an acclimatizing ascent of Kyanjin Ri (4300m) and the main objective, Tserko Ri (just under 5000m).
