The vintage Changu Narayan Temple was constructed in 323 AD by King Hari Dutta and is renowned for its artistic stone, wood, and metal architecture. The double-roofed temple of Changu Narayan is devoted to Lord Vishnu in his incarnation as Narayan. The dowels at the top tier of the temple represent the ten incarnations of Narayan that destroyed the evil-doers. Located 22 km away from Kathmandu, this historic temple of Changu Narayan is a perfect excuse for the morning excursion as you can relish the panoramic vista of the Himalayas and the beautiful view of the Kathmandu Valley from here. After spending some time here you will drive back to Bhaktapur Durbar Square.
