On this 14-day Everest Base Camp trek, see incredible scenery and meet the local Sherpa people as you climb to the base camp of Everest.
Travel to the white Himalayas as you begin your trek to the pinnacle of the world. A famous adventure trekking destination, Mount Everest is also the home of many Sherpa people. Enjoy the serene environment in this region decorated by beautiful monasteries and Gumbas on the trail.
After arriving in Kathmandu, take a domestic flight to Lukla, a town in the Kumbu ice region below the beautiful peaks of the mountains. Lukla lies at an altitude of 2,860 meters and is the start towards the Everest Base Camp.
Keep your eyes peeled for musk deer, blue sheep, snow leopards as well as different birds like the kalij pheasant and Himalayan monal.
Everest base camp trek itinerary:
Day 01: Arrival in Kathmandu and transfer to hotel
Day 02: Kathmandu sightseeing
Day 03: Fly to Lukla and trek to Phakding, 35-minute flight and roughly 3-hour walk
Day 04: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,450 meters), roughly 6-hour walk
Day 05: Rest day (acclimatization day) in Namche Bazaar; hike to Everest View Hotel and area
Day 06: Trek to Thyangboche (3,864 meters), roughly 5-hour walk
Day 07: Trek to Dingboche (4,415 meters), roughly 5-hour walk
Day 08: Trek to Lobuche (4,930 meters), roughly 4 hour walk
Day 09: Trek to Everest base camp (5,345 meters) via Gorak Shep and back to Gorak Shep (5,184 meters), roughly 4-hour walk
Day 10: Trek to Kala Patthar (5,545 meters) and trek down to Pheriche (4,371 meters), roughly 8-hour walk
Day 11: Trek to Namche Bazaar (3,450 meters), roughly 6-hour walk
Day 12: Trek to Lukla (2,900 meters), roughly 6-hour walk
Day 13: Fly to Kathmandu (trek ends), 35-minute flight
Day 14: Transport to airport by private vehicle
