Description

Mardi Himal Trek is a relatively new and less crowded trek route in the Annapurna region of Nepal. It offers a unique and off-the-beaten-path experience for trekkers who want to explore the Himalayas.
The trek usually starts from Kande or Phedi, which are accessible by a short drive from Pokhara. The trail ascends through dense forests and charming villages like Pothana and Deurali. You'll reach Low Camp and High Camp, which offer panoramic mountain views. The final push takes you to the Mardi Himal Base Camp, situated at an altitude of around 4,500 meters (14,764 feet).

Outline Itinerary

Day 01: Drive to Pokhara (6-7 hours)

Day 02: Drive to Kande, Trek to Pitam Deurali
• Breakfast and check out from Hotel
• Drive to Kande(45m)
• Journey start to ascent to Australia Base Camp
• Follow the trail down to Pothana village
• Pitam Deurali Slowly ascend further
• Stay overnight at the teahouse

Day 03: Trek from Pitam Deurali to Low Camp
• Breakfast and check out from the teahouse
• Enjoy the view of the mountain
• walk through the deep forest
• Slowly ascend the trail to forest camp
• Lunch
• Head on a bit further an hour to Low camp
• Dinner and overnight at the teahouse

Day 04: Trek from Low Camp to High Camp
• Breakfast and check out from the teahouse
• The trail climbs up to Badal Danda
• Obverse the view of the Annapurna Himalayas range
• Lunch at Badal Banda
• Trail continues to High Camp
• Dinner and overnight at the teahouse

Day 05: Hike up to Upper View Point (4,500m), Trek to Badal Danda
• Wake up early morning
• Start to hike up to View Point and looks at the sunrise view
• Hike continues to upper viewpoint
• Hike back to high camp
• Breakfast at the teahouse and check out
• Continue to slow down to Badal Danda
• Dinner & Stay overnight at the teahouse

Day 06: Trek from Badal Danda to Siding Village and Drive to Pokhara
• Breakfast and check out from the teahouse
• The trail down to Low camp to Siding village
• Catch up the jeep to Pokhara
• Hotel check-in
• Enjoy the rest of the day in Pokhara
• Overnight stay at the hotel

Day 07: Drive to Kathmandu
• Breakfast at hotel & check out
• Catch up the bus to Kathmandu
• enjoy lunch on the way one the riverside restaurant
• Hotel check-in
• Trek review
• Rest of the day free of leisure
• Dinner with cultural program
• Overnight at Hotel

Day 08: Departure for your Destination

Permits:
To trek in the Mardi Himal Trek, you'll need two permits: the Annapurna Conservation Area Permit (ACAP) and the Trekkers' Information Management System (TIMS) card. These can be obtained in Kathmandu or Pokhara.

Accommodation:
Teahouses and lodges are available along the trekking route, providing basic accommodation and meals. The facilities may be more limited compared to popular treks like the Annapurna Circuit or Everest Base Camp, but they are sufficient for the trek.
