Before you start your trek, learn about Mount Manaslu, the world’s eighth-highest peak, which is over 8,000 meters above sea level. The mountain is part of the Nepalese Himalayas and is known locally as Kutang. The name Manaslu has a unique meaning, which is “Mountain of the Spirit.”

The mountain is located in the Gorkha District of Nepal and is also the highest peak of Gorkha. It is about 64 miles east of Annapurna. The Manaslu Circuit Trek uses restricted area permits, and individual trekkers cannot enter the area alone. Every trekker should at least have a partner with them and a guide or porter.
