Nepal's first and most famous National park is situated in the Inner Terai lowlands of Chitwan. Covering an area of 932 sq. kilometers, the park includes hilly areas of the Shivalik Range covered by deciduous trees. Parts of the park are floodplains of the rivers; Narayani, Rapti, and the Reu. These floodplains are covered by dense tall elephant grass, forests of silk cotton, acacia, and Sisam trees.

Journey down the river by canoe, watch the sunset over the jungle and keep your eye ours for crocodiles and any one of the five hundred birds that inhabit the park. Experience an open jeep safari to the depths of the jungle, locations only known to locals in search of the one-horned rhino, leopards, barking deer, monkeys, wild boar, sloth bears, and the smooth-coated otter.

Outline Itinerary (3 days)
Day 1: Kathmandu to Chitwan by tourist bus 4-5 hours , (car or flight is optional) and transfer to Hotel Reception, Welcome drinks, Lunch, and Visit Tharu Village Museum and sunset tour, Dinner. Overnight at Hotel Seven Star (bLd)

Day 2: After breakfast Canoeing, Jungle walk, Visit Elephant breeding center, Lunch, and Elephant Safari or Jungle Drive, evening walk, dinner and Tharu Cultural show. Overnight at Hotel Seven Star (bLd)

Day 3: Early morning go to bird watching tour. After breakfast drive back to Kathmandu by tourist bus 4-5 hours , (car or flight are optional). End of trip.
